School Board Recognition Month
January is School Board Recognition Month and REACH High School had the honor of welcoming school board member Mr. Romo to our campus on January 9th. He spent the afternoon touring the campus with Ms. Mitchell, enjoying letters written by the students, will enjoy a bowling party donated by Cowtown Bowling, and the hospitality class hosted a Meet and Greet given in his honor. The students prepared a veggie tray, deviled eggs, mini pizzas, chips and salsa, cinnamon bundt cake and brownies. The students were free to ask questions and they were surprised when they had previously found out that being on the school board is not a paid position. Mr. Romo answered a lot of their questions but also commended them on staying in school. He told them how proud he was of them for not taking the easy way out, and he assured them that all of their hard work will pay off in the end. Mr. Romo coached a Little League team and he was glad to see one of his previous team members attending REACH. Thank you Mr. Romo for caring about our school and we will be forever grateful to you and our other school board members for taking time out of your lives to help our education. We Love Our School Board!
