First Six Weeks Good Attendance Field Trip
Six Weeks Attendance Field Trip

In understanding the various obstacles involved in attending school each day, REACH students are rewarded if no more than two absences are accumulated each six weeks with a good attendance field trip.

On Friday, October 2nd, twenty-seven students qualified for the first good attendance field trip of the year to C.A.R.E. (Center for Animal Research and Education) in Bridgeport.  C.A.R.E. was founded in 2003 to provide for the rescue, rehabilitation and holistic nurturing of sick, injured and abused Big Cats.

The twenty-two students who chose to attend rather than staying at REACH, as well as three staff members, and the bus driver, enjoyed spending time learning the Cats' "stories" as well as being entertained with "tricks" and feeding them.

The Center houses 7 cougars, 6 leopards, 3 lions, and 39 tigers.
